...the cheapest cards I have seen someone use are some little red, yellow and green key translucent plastic key ring things, about 5cm x 2cm. But it does look kinda funny trying send someone off with a card they can't even see from 15m away. :-)

For what it's worth, my cards are made of cardboard tightly wrapped with electrical tape. I can't remember how long they've lasted - more than 7 years so far, I think.
