I think Troy has raised a really interesting & valid point.

I would like to think that all users of this forum would maintain their respect for individuals while still having the freedom to express their opinions.

I have ommitted to put up a "Opinions expressed are not neccessarily those of the NZCPA". This may be needed more than was previously thought. Bc I contribute to this site both as an administrator and personally, I generally separate those identities by using my name or position title as required. However I am a bit more anonymous than other administrators, but I do bear in mind how my personally expressed views may impact on how I am perceived in my administrative role.

Alias' may be of good use for those with associations to manufacturers and the like.

At the end of the day, it is my opinion that the NZCPA site belongs to the members. So does the forum. With the emphasis on sponsorship beginning to encroach on our www presence, I think it is time policy was put in place as to how we handle information issues here in the virtual world. Not a big cumbersome thing, it may just a basic set of "rules".

Any ideas??
