Far from being slanderous, or irresponsible, my boat review was posted under my nickname with a title informing people that it was MY personal opinion and to TAKE WITH GRAIN OF SALT- meaning, that it is not definitive, and not to be taken too seriously.

I have no problem at all with manufacturers wanting an explanation as to why I might have an opinion on their products, but I believe in the rights of the consumer too.

The playing public have the right to see the whole story, not just the picture on the brochure, and the manufacturers have a right to respond to any opinions posted on this forum. No design remains at the top of the pile for long, and the kayaking community is certainly aware of that.

So, let's take the boat reviews with a grain of salt, shall we? They're there because someone asked for it, not because anyone paid for their product to be included.

Finally, I would like to pay tribute: stiiiiiiiiiiing raaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy (My first boat, and no one ever did get why I thought it was linked to those old 70s puppet shows). Now, passed on to a 12 year old at my school, who is playing his first game in a boat that leaks like a coffee filter. Isn't anything LIKE an acrobat to paddle, I don't care WHAT people say about "designs based on..." etc. etc.
