Subject: Lots of stuff

Hi!

GOod to see some of you here - hopefully the rest will be here soon. Thanks again for putting up with this crappy site.

Gaye,
I agree this site isn't as good as the last one, with dates, and new messages and stuff. Although, I can tell you new messages always appear at the top, along with their thread (if they are replies). Un-read messages should be titled in yellow, read messages should be white. Hope that helps!

The game today was very scrappy and not a good game to watch. Both teams made a huge amount of mistakes, especially our guys - with their *silly* handballing - KICK THE BALL! There were a few times when they handballed from centre-half back all the way to the forward pocket - all under pressure. It would have been much better in those situations to kick. And to make things worse, Brett James wasn't even on when that was happening - usually he is the one to do that!

Connell was in the best players but I don't think his possessions were very effective. Beinke was great!!! If only he could be consistant we would have our answer to full forward. McGregor out this week for Perrie?

Rehnny was fantastic! It was a great game to boost his confidence. And he was doing well in the ruck too :) GOodwin and Edwards were great too - especially in that second quarter :) Getting Bickley back this week will be a boost - same with Perrie. If only we had Burton :o( Eccles played okay, and GALLAGHER! WOW! He did very well - especially since he was playing on Buckley for a bit. There was one time he was really slow to get rid of the ball, but apart from that, he provided great run from defence. Koster was good too. Biglands got a lot of the hit outs, Caven was a bit too slow - same with Smart. Sometimes he was miles behind his opponent, just standing there. What was with that?

McLeod looked good. WHY WAS VARDY OFF? And CROWELL??? Both could have kicked a few goals up forward. Why didn't Crowell come on for McGregor - he was having no impact at all. When Crowell did come on, he took a few good marks :) And Vardy off for most of the game? THat is just stupid...was it a discipline thing? You know, I bet Vardy will get dropped for this week - maybe for Jarman. It's Gary's policy of "oh...you didn't get to many kicks from the bench, you're out." Like O'Loughlin.

WOooooooooooooooh. Bring back James Thiessen! Legend!!! :)

Ben Hart's mistake was almost...embaressing. For anyone who didn't see it, he was taking the kick out, and he kicked it straight to the man on the mark at the top of the goal square - and Collingwood got a goal. Poor Benny! It's a wonder Ayres didn't drag him.

I saw what Gary said in his press conference - "I'm so happy we got a win," or whatever he said. He's back to the "I'll take the credit for a win," thing. As Bec says, "L is for LOSER."

No injuries, I don't think, which is good. Oops, I forgot to say Bassett was really good too!!!

WE really should have won by 10 or 15 goals, we wasted too many chances - and basically it was a game between two bad teams. It seemed like the guys were too slow to get back in their positions once there was a turnover. Remember the Richmond game in 1997? The pathetic Pittman thing? Blighty said after that game, that "as soon as there was a turn over in the middle, everyone's head went down..." I think that's sort of what happened today (maybe)- & we can't let that happen!!!!

Hmm, anyway. We won, so who cares. Would have been nice if we were in the 8 :o(

I get to go to training this week!! YAY!!! Is anyone else going??? :)
