Here is a letter that appeared in Thursday's Advertiser (hope it's not too long):

"Most people with a sound knowledge of our great game are openly talking about the AFC coaching panel's poor performance.

The Crows recently have been clearly out-coached two weeks in a row in crucial games - and this has happened to lesser and greater degrees over the past few years.

The reality is that the match committee should have stepped down when Malcolm Blight went. Instead they were kept on.

Those involved in the ridiculous transfer of Tony Modra, the treatment of Matt Connell and now the continuing war with Peter Vardy remain crucial decision-makers.

Commentators, whether press, radio or television, should be fearless and question these performances.

Perhaps a leaf out of Robert Wall's honest appraisal book would not go astray.

I would have to agree with everything this guy says. I wish more people were honest and put it in the public arena to give the Crows a bit of a wake up call. I know that a few of the Club's social activities have been cancelled recently due to a lack of interest....so, maybe they have to take a good hard look at themselves and give the supporters a bit more of what they want, i.e. a bit of accountability, and a red hot go on the playing field. The glory of two p/ships needs to be backed up by a bit more success in the home and away series.

I'm sorry to sound negative, (I AM a pessimist) but I reckon the Crows will get thumped by Geelong tomorrow. The Cats will come out frothing at the mouth, and will score about 8 goals to 1 in the first quarter. Our mob will then outscore them in the next 3 quarters, but alas, too late to win. Sound familiar??? Hope I'm wrong.
