I've been ignoring my fastback for a year, got into the porsche scene with a 1980 911 SC and after 11 months wrote it off thanks to a patch of february ice. So, my fasty now has my undivided attention. After taking a look at it yesterday i've found both cills have rotted through, the drivers side is completely non-existent - well it is now after i destroyed it with my bare hands!

I've found the cill repair sections on this website, and i know i'm going to need new heater channels too (they've never worked properly). I know this is going to be quite a task, my question is, how difficult is it? I know the floorpan is in good condition, but i have no idea how bad things are behind the front and rear wings. I plan to strip down each side in turn.

Any hints and tips would be welcome
