Yep, bought it from Jim Barlow in Basingstoke back in 1986 or 1987.
I finished lowering that notch on the Friday morning of the 1st Bug Jam ! I do have pics of it, but I'm `between properties' at the moment, so all my slides are in storage.
I read the feature in TVW, and noticed that it seemed to mention every owner it had ever had, bar me !
I also ought to mention that when I bought it I was intending to go down the full-on late eighties Cal look route with it - that's what it was bought for.
Eventually though, (even back then), I decided it was Too Good To Rod, and when TGT 477 F the squareback came along, I sold the notch partly to fund the work on turning that squareback into Squary Spice.
Ah! How things could have turned out...
You mentioned in the feature that the front brake overhaul was easy, as it all seemed to be in good order - that was probably helped by me replacing the front drums, shoes, bearings, cylinders, brake lines and hoses, and master cylinder with NOS parts. After running around in it as a lowered, resto-cal notch, I raised it again, just before selling it, so as to leave it as original as possible.
I sold it at the Stanford Hall show in 1988.
