I use my notchback every day and have done so for the past 2 years. OK so I live on a rock with a 35 mph speed limit but I see no reason why you couldn't use it as an everday car. I've covered about 25k since I've owned it.

I don't know how much work it'll need but Paul will probably mail you. I bought mine sight unseen and couldn't be happier...T3d were very honest about what needed doing and what didn't.

I also own bugs, a camper, a ghia and a buggy and can honsetly say that the notch is the best driver of the lot and it's confortable even though it's slammed.

The squareback has got to be the most versatile air-cooled Volkswagen ever built...ah go for it!
