I can't see that all the injectors aren't fireing.

Are you positive the injectors aren't firing? If you turn the ignition on and push the acelerator (from the engine not the pedel) do you hear clicking? Have you had the injectors off while turning over the engine?

You really should but the Bently service manual its got a great section on fuel injection systems. One of the best items I found was on a 914 web page. I don't know the link now so I'm proberly being no help but try the search engines for 'J jettronic' or similar spelling.

A few simple things to check:

Fuel supply - are you sure the fuel pump is working? Turn the key and do you get a humm and click sound?

Ignition - are you getting a good spark on all cylinders?

Trigger points (under the dizzy)- Remove ,clean and check the gaps.

Air pressure regulator (roundish thing with a pipe and power under left hand side of boot) - remove it and blow into it. If you have resistance i.e. no air excapes its good if any air leaks its knackered. This shouldn't make it start but can seriously affect fuel consupmtion and running.

injectors - Use a volt meter to check they're getting power with somone turning the ignition.

Regulator - Use a book to check this is ok. It can affect the injuection quite badly. I can't remember the test.

Also clean all the conections on the Fi looom.

As I said before a book would be better than this as I'm sure I've missed something... It really is just the case of checking each bit works until you isolate the problem.
