On www.vwtype3.org, for obviuose reasons the vw trade mark battles
have been brought up multiple times. One person sugested:
With every show we are in part working to build the status of
the marque.How would it look, for instance, if every car at the
Classic this year had its emblems covered or removed? And what if,
say, USA Today carried a story on it?
In the end I expect the most effective response will be to give VWoA
what it wants. The ultimate effect of their copyright zeal can't be
positive for them, I say let them have the karma they're demanding.
It's not as if they're doing anything for *us*.
I believe this would be a great idea, but not just at the
classic, but at every show. Maybe, this would catch on and let the
rest of the world know how evil the modern day VW is.
