On the 27th of August Mars will be theclosest to Earth that it has come in 5,000 years! Too bad it's a Wednesday. If I didn't have to work late I'd throw a star party!. I have a friend that has a really great telescope to bring and we'd have all kinds of cosmic food! I think star cookies and moon pizza! And rocket fuel punch!
If you look you can see it now but not so well. Look for the orange star toward the south.
