He howls and gets into a fighting stance before JJ's crew. He had not seen JJ himself yet, but just his wimpy "workers". He knew JJ would show up when he saw that the members of his pack were defeated with ease, which would be soon. He growls at them all and stands next to the wolves that were on he, Tabby, and Midnight's side.

he only breaks the trance ot look at Ian. Then he turns back. WOrds rush through his head. Finally he says them quietly. "It doesn't matter how many are on your team, JJ. The good team always wins, though they might only have one player." He growls, getting ready to emit a howl that would mean, "ATTACK"
