You found the fawn though, but poor placement (not your fault! wrong place wrong time sorta thing) results a hind paw in your jaw. For 3 posts you must be delicate with your eating and howl (you can still talk) as little as you can.
Since your jaw is hurt, you should bury your catch and go back to your pack and have someone help you bring it back.
If anyone steals this food, they will result in temporary banning of the site...
