Hello this is Ben Kneisler. I am 5'11", 212lbs. I am 18 years old and I am currently living in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. I started playing basketball in 8th grade and then continued to play until I was a sophomore in high school. When I was a junior I ran cross country to build up the muscles in my legs however, when basketball season arrived I was unable to play due to an injury to my ankle. I was the kid that everyday was arriving to school at 6am so that I was able to shoot hoops for two hours before school started, then when school would get out I would go home and shoot for another hour and a half. The school that I attended had no size to it; everyone was about the same size so we grew up as being the team that was the three point threat. No matter what position you played you were still able to knock down threes. When my senior year of basketball came I didn't play for our school because I had the opportunity to play for one of the colleges in Menasha. There I was starting shooting guard. I loved it, I got to go up against much bigger and better competition and it made me much better. My cousin went to the University of Green Bay and I would also travel up there a lot and play against the guys there which helped me to become even better. Basketball is my life I play it so much that a lot of the times me fingers are blistered. Due to a summer job that I am working at I am numbered to the time I get on the court, which when I get done at 3am I go home and will either dribble a ball in the dark around my hoop for two hours or I will turn on the lights around my hoop and shoot. When it comes to playing I feel that I am a guy who can hit a big shot when it is needed, but basketball is not a game that can be won on one person, you need your teammates. It is more important to me that if I am needed to hit a big shot I will do it but its better to keep your teammates into the game as well. Find ways to get them open so they can hit shots and so they have just as much fun as what you are having. When I think about basketball it’s not the money that you play for, you play because it is your life, challenging, fast moving, exciting, and true happiness. The court is where all time stops and the only thing that matters is when you’re dribbling that ball and hitting that perfect shot and listening to the sound of "Swoosh", nothing beats it. My dream is to play in the NBA or to play overseas, but when I live in a town of less then 2,000 people it’s hard to get noticed so I am trying to make things happen with my hard work and with the dedication that I show when I play. I may be 212 pounds, and I will tell you it’s not all muscle but that is what I am also working on, and it’s helping. I feel that I can run with anyone and all I do is need that chance. I am young yes but even though I am young I know the sport, the game, the everything. Basketball is life for me and if you help me, take a chance on someone who is young I will show you dedication that you have never seen before. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my message I can be reached on my cell at (920)570-0143 or by email at blue_eyed_guy70@hotmail.com. Once again thank you so much.
