Subject: Iraqi oil - frozen assets - and whatnot

Joe's grab bag of interesting facts

$100 billion frozen Iraqi assets held by the U.S. since first gulf war. 1.7 billion of it is being used for Iraqis reconstruction so far. Is this money part of the 2.5 billion in U.S. aid for rebuilding Iraq. The U.S. doesn't need to give any additional aid to Iraq when they can just use the $100 billion in Iraqi frozen assets instead. Iraq will be back to its prewar oil production of about 2 million barrels a day in six months say some experts, with production only increasing from there on. They can just use the money from their oil profits in a little while anyway. I wonder if the U.S. will take some of Iraqis frozen assets inside the U.S. as payment for their war cost. The U.S. gave KBR a contract of 76.7 million to restart Iraq's oil industry. KBR is a subsidiary OF Halliburton, vice president Dick Cheney's former company.

The U.S. wont allow U.N. weapons inspectors because they need time to plant materials inside Iraq to implicate Saddam's regime and thus legitimize their illegal war. And they don't need inspectors not under their control running around the country messing up their plans to plant this evidence inside Iraq damnit.

Elections in many Arab countries would produce politicians who expose views that are closer to Osama bin Laden's than those of Jordan's liberal monarch, King Abdullah. Hitler rose to power through a free and fair democratic election.
