Thanks. I had found this information but feel more confident that this is 'my' Emma as you don't know of any more Eunice/Emma's that fit. I was very unsure if this was the right one as two facts don't tally. Firstly Thomas was a plate finisher when Emma married, he's a general labourer on the census. Secondly I checked the 1891 census for this address and Elizabeth was a widow by then, it doesn't say Thomas was dead on Emma's marriage certificate. Emma was not at the address in 1891 though so that fits with her having gone to London. I don't think I'll be able to prove it one way or the other. Frustrating isn't it? Thanks again for the help.
