::she waited for her Karnak to wake, she understood that he was tired from yesterday. She stood at the cave entrance, her head held high in dignity, the wind whipping at her face. She closd her eyes for a moment, then opened them, overlooking the land, her land, Karnak's land, her children's land. This was her life, her pleseant, happy life. She stepped forward, into the snow were her paws sank in under her weight. Her tail swished in the air, wagging momentarily. She was happy, her pups were happy, and all was well. Her belly jiggled as she returned to he shelter and safety of the den. She pickd up the leaf, gathered more water, and drank it. She dug up a rabbit she hd caught a few days ago, and ate half of it. She lay on her lft side. She was pretty much used to it by now, because she knew laying on her right side would kill the pups. she felt them, almost fully developed, inside her ever growing belly.
Her rump hung a little lower each day, signs of approaching labor.::
