Sierra smelt and heard the light femme enter the lands from the den but did not confront her. Elena seemed very capable of that. The young light princess was about Sierra's age, and Sierra wondered what the wolf really wanted.

Sierra looked to Keso, wondering if he would answer to the femme's call. She secretly hoped not, but it was his choice. She pricked up her ears and exited the den. She looked out into the forest. Although she could not see Elena and the strange new wolf, she knew that they were out there. She could smell Elena's hatred.
