"Okay, so the peddler gives Jemima the crystal, and says you will have to go through three tests before you find your freind. So jemima agrees and takes the crystal. Then the peddler says you have already taken the first so your second awaits! With that he walked away. Jemima felt dumbfounded on what to do next, but at that moment, the ugliest beast apeared, from the forest. She wanted to scream but couldn't. The beast aproached her and rolled over showing many deep gashes that needed to be taken care of. Most people would run, but Jemima was filled with so much pity that she went to a nearby water source and cleaned it up. The beast nuzzled her cheek in thanks and then walked off.
Then a poor broken down old man came to her side, "Food I need food" he begged. "Will you fetch some for me at the market?" Of course! she replied. But he stopped her. "But you must wear this robe." He said. Jemima looked at the tattered cloth, it was filthy and reeped a reched smell.
"But I am a princess!" She said. But seeing the poor man in such a retched state she quickly obliged and went to fetch some food.
But when she returned she did not find the old man, but a knight in, shining armor, with a kind smile below his whiskers. "I was the peddler, the beast and the old man." He said. "I was testing your kindness, and humility, and now I have found my true love!" He said beaming at her.
So the two where wed and lived happily ever after!"
Jemima looked up, "So whadya think? Was it good?"
