My son has a 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 (Compact) in next to original condition....down to the radio.
The front drum brakes are almost non existent and I want to replace them with discs.....is there a conversion available?
Not all US Ford models are available in Aus...I have been told to be carefull not to use "near enough" components.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

1972-76 Torino/Ranchero mirrors.Racing style,painted.This type of mirror mounts from inside the door with studs and nuts,no screws that show from the outside.Diecast metal.Drivers side is cable remote,works fine.Passenger side is not a remote.Mirrors are in nice shape with no major damage.Glass is in nice shape but does have some small scratches from old age.Mount studs and nuts complete.One plastic base gasket only,one missing.Cable has good stick and the cable mount plate and nut with threads.Mirrors need a repaint.Used.First $75 pr+$10 s&h USA 48.Photo at:http://ep.com/js/about/c0/234607

I just got a yellow Gran Torino. Nice, needs a little touchups
2 door.
Has been painted again and has " T S Special " on it's front fenders.
The guy I got it from bought it in 1978 and said the T S Special was on it then so he had it put back on.
He said he had seen 1 other with the same on it.
Does anyone know what the T S special stands for???//

I have a pair of 62 Fairlane bucket seats that came out of an open car in a junkyard. They are pretty rough, the plastic around the bottom is mostly there but cracked, the covers and foam are shot, one track is rusted off. Also have part of the console case (no lid or inners) that goes with the seats. Located in Central Texas.If you're interested contact me ASAP before I put them on Ebay.

Chuck, I have several sets for the 62 to 65 Fairlane V8. Are you using a 260 or 289? Measure the bolt pattern of the mount on the block. Call me at 423 332 3837, Tues thru Sat, EST. I finished stripping my 66 parts car. have misc. items available. Passenger door, all window glass w/ tracks and regulators. Power steering assy from tie rods to steering box/ no pump or hoses, trunk lid, leaf springs, console with auto tunnel hump & shifter in good but not perfect condition, front & rear window chrome, grill center peice, rear quarter lower chrome XL 500 trim. 1970 Torino Convert GT X-429 ThunderJet Car, Needs work and engine. For sale as a whole car 1,000 (No Title) Needs tube rail repair under drivers door and front bucket seats, two floor pans, dash pad is cracked. The car has the special 4 spd auto, console and 9 bolt rear with all 429 markings. Has hidden headlights and non ram air hood. Restorable car. (It's not mint--- If it was it would have a 25 thousand price tag.. LOL Orig Blue with white interior. Have breather for car.

The underneath was sanded and primered, and the top as well, but the top went on wet for a gloss black look to suit my car. It had some scratches from moving it around the basement (has been inside since painted so NO rust). The front crease is NOT cracked, and there is NO filler anywhere on this hood, and the chrome trim is not included as well as the FORD lettering. Now the bad news, I WILL NOT ship this hood. Im in BC, Canada but I can make arrangements to deliver to the Vancouver/Washington border for a small fee. Im asking 250.US obo

Need Parts, I have a 221 v8 with 89,000 original miles 2bbl. The cylinder walls look good, only a small ridge at top. But I still recomend a rebuild.
2 Spd. automatic transmission. Car ran when it was parked.
4 doors, seats and more. Low rust car from North Carolina

I have a bell housing, z-bar, pivots, clutch fork, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing ect. for a 351 torino. I switched to a big block. All parts are in good shape. Disk is still good I would give the flywheel a quick cut and you'll be good to go. $500.00 clams located in Ct. I have ceramic metalic hookers that are perfect for the same car and motor. Selling my 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 SportsCoupe, with FACTORY AIR. Runs, however, needs engine work-Not driveable as now. 2-Tone, white/black. Brand new aquamarine interior, some rust, (Not major-Great looking car for someone looking for an affordable classic!) Great candidate for further resto, Thunderbolt Clone. 260-V-8. M/B, M/W. Alpine AM-FM-CD Changer-Original radio in place, works, but won't tune. Drove until last year, when engine began to 'bang.' Doesn't smoke, but the 'bang' scares me! No time (Graduate student) and no money to fix! Will start fine-"Bang Bang Bang Bang......!" Florida car-In process of re-titling (I lost the original, and I'm having a new one re-assigned.) Hi I just bought a 1968 Ford Torino GT Fastback. The only thing is I don't know what motor I have in it. How do I find out what it is? The guy said it was a 429 so I know it is not original, I was told to take the manifold off and it would be stamped inside, so I took it off and there is nothing except the numbers that match the top of the motor over top of the firing order. The two bolts inside, beside the piston have 2 Alan wrench indents that look like they would screw out.
Also I was told that a GT did not come out with a front bench seat....that is what I have and the front seat upholstery matches the back-seat upholstery.

I'm trying to hard wire a factory tach in my torino that came without one. Anyone know what the positive and negative wire from the tack hook to on the car? I discovered the black wire hooks to the (-)post on the coil, but cannot find where the positive hooks. I trid the positive to wire cluster that hooks up the water temp and oil unit but both those killed the motor, the last wire connector on that same plug worked but it pegged out my instrument cluster.

The engine was rebuilt in December, 2001. The
cylinders had less than .002 taper, so I just put new rings, seals,
bearings, and Crane Energizer cam in it to round out the motor. It is a
factory, numbers matching 351C-4vCJ with the original numbers matching
C6 tranny. It has new tail shaft seal and filter kit installed. The
driveshaft has both new U-joints. The brakes haven't been touched since
I bought the car, but there is very minimal pull. The front brakes are
power disk and the rear are drum. The Magnum 500's have fair to used
tires, but I have driven the car for 300 mile streches quite a bit on
them and they handle fine. The spare tire is a FIrestone Wide-Oval ply
on a Magnum 500 rim as well. The original owner told me that this is
what it came with when he bought the car. The shocks need replaced, the
inner fender tubs up front need replaced, at least partially. The
exhaust is dual, with glasspacks. The floor pans are 100% solid, as is
the frame.The interior has the full gage package (sizzle style), with the full console, Rim blow wheel
(which works really well), and the molded door panels. The front two
have been replaced, however the rear ones have not. Thanks for looking! I have over $4500 invested, asking $3500.

I built a rotisserie for my 64 Farilane and will soon be taking the car off it. It will be for sale. I made with with 2" x 1/4" thick steel square tubing and hydraulic ram jacks.

The arms can be modifed with mininal effort to use with an other vheicle that has different mounting locations in the rear.

$475.00 and you pick it up in Alabama or possible delivery for a modest fee within a few hunderd miles of my home in Tuscaloosa, AL.

I 'm looking for a fiberglass heater box for a '76 Gran Torino with air conditioning. Replaced the heater core but the fiberglass was brittle and cracked in many pieces.

I have a '70 Fairlane 500. 40,000 original miles. it Did have a 351 Cleveland 2V with a C-4. engine and tranny do not come with. Body is in great condition other than a damaged RF fender that will need some work. Interior is in great condition. Make an offer. also have several other ford cars and engines.

I have a set of Hooker Headers for a 70-71 Torino w/ 429 SCJ- CJ w/o power steering. These are in new condition they have been bolted on a motor but it was never fired up. Buyer to pay shipping.
