He lunges forward with a jerk, attempting to avoid the kick aimed at him - yet it only met his fleeing hocks, and he whinnied angrily when it connected. Pain flitted up and down his leg, but still he turned and fought on with a doubled vengeance. Limping or not, he would fight to the end, hiding any weaknesses.
And so back he lunged into the petty battle with the half-feral steed, assaulting quickly with his snapping teeth...
