The gelding complies, arching his neck and moving out well. His ears flick back and forth, listening to everything around him, and to his rider. His strides long and soft, he speeds up easily into a very smooth trot, then a rhythmical canter. Permission given to gallop, Chait's muscles bunch and stretch with fluidity. Not the blazing speed of the mare, but at a good clip all the same, and one he could sustain for a long time.
