I too thought the same thing, and sent off a very unplesant email to ixMicro, which I now regret, 5 years later.. anyway, they replied to me and were very kind and gave me a serial number for it. As I have now found out, the ixTV/TurboTV is just a standard BT848 PCI TV card, and there are lots of identical cards that would work with the ixTV program.
