/ maiden strolls down from the staircase, slender hand resting on the banister. her light dress slims at her waist, flaring out to swirl about her calves gently. the neckline is a bit low, yet still modest, and the edges frill slightly. about her neck hangs an amethyst on a gold chain, dangling beautifully and glistening in the sunlight. obviously 'twas quite expensive, for such a large gem, though she's never taken it from her neck since the day she was born. the woman smiles, seemingly lighting up the room with its own brightness and cheer. her sapphire blue eyes gaze outside at the world, blanketed in white, and she was thankful that her dress had long sleeves, which fashionably flared out at the edges. she flicked a strand of her mid-back length hair behind her back, smiling sweetly at the barmaid. she orders a glass of water, and tosses a shilling on the rough-hewn countertop. /
