Luckily he had fended off another such blow, at the cost of his arm, but it prevented a split skull. He killed plenty of them, but eventually he lost his sword, attempting to save it, and one slashed him across the side. The wound was long, a gaping hole just below the ribcage, but it did not manage to disembowl him. He tries to stammer out an apology, and thanks, but the words do not come. ::..

(ooc: He's got a pretty good sized gash up his side and a nice blow to the head, presumably with a sword hilt or something, but other than that its all minor cuts, scrapes, and slashes.)
