She laughs, but it is not humorous. It is harsh, icy. "I've lived too long and have met too many men like you to be taken by your charm... or should I say, lack of it? I have a serious doubt that you will find any maids that you consider worth your time, here. It is no fault of mine that I am too sharp for the likes of you. 'Tis a pity, considering that you are very good-looking, and intelligent, but you have wasted both on building up your ego. And now that I have said that..." She stands up, walks up to him, leans over, and kisses him on the mouth, quickly, then whispers into his ear. "Prove that you can be kind, helpful, and honest, and I will be worth your time. Is it a deal?" she pulls away slightly, and looks into his eyes, her own grey ones sparkling and flashing in the light.
