..:: Conlyn looks at the stairs skeptically, unsure of whether he'd make it or not. He grunted, resolving to try. The muddiness and dizziness that had previously threatened to overwhelm him had faded somewhat, though recurred with any sudden action. One heavily-shod foot thumped in front of the other as he worked his way unsteadily towards the stairs, the blissfully pain-free state of his arm fading into sharp throbbing intersperced with firey agony as the bone shifted. The wound in his side was nothing in comparison, but he knew from experience that it would become quite painful in the space of a day or so. Grasping the wooden stair rail with his good arm he attempted to lever himself upwards, but that was only marginally successful and he found himself only up two steps for all his effort. Still, he couldn't remain downstairs, and so redoubled his effort. ::..
