{As Viper and Scorpion stand in front of Maniac holding the jewel, a slight wind begins to pick up. The sun continues to set in the distance, and dark gray, almost blackish color clouds begin to slowly roll in and blanket the swamp in darkness. The wind increases in speed and bolts of lightning begin flashing in the distance. Viper and Scorpion look at each other, and then to the gemstone. Both men then get sadistic looking grins on their faces as the stand watching over Maniac. Another bolt of lightning flashes and the camera catches a glimpse of a figure standing in the twisted tree line. The camera focuses in on that area where the figure was standing and waits for another bolt of lightning to come, which quickly happens, but there is no figure standing there anymore. Suddenly a loud crash of thunder booms in the air and echoes through out the swamp. Viper and Scorpion seem unaffected by the sudden change in weather, but then a loud evil laugh echoes in the swamp. Both men look around for the source of the laughter but are unable to find it. Then the same dark figure immerges from the tree line and moves slowly forward towards the group. Another bolt of lightning flashes and the figure is seen more clearly. It is apparent he is wearing a long black trench coat and dark colored jeans. The figure then lets out another evil, almost demonic laugh that even seems to startle Viper and Scorpion. The two men turn and look at the dark figure. Another blot of lightning and the figure is revealed to be Thunder. Evil grins come across Venom and the return to watching Redeem. Thunder walks slowly over to them.}
Thunder: So the cleansing has begun. Has he turned to the darkside yet?
{Scorpion turns to Thunder}
Scorpion: He has strong ties to the light. Almost stronger than your ties to the light were. But he will accept the darkness as you have done.
{Thunder smirks then looks up at the beaten crucified body of Maniac.}
Thunder: Has he put up any resistance?
{Viper turns to Thunder and grins wickedly}
Viper: He put up some fight, but the resistance seems to have left him.
Thunder: Don’t be too sure about that. I’ve known Maniac for a long time now. I’ve fought along side him on many different occasions. He has a very strong fighting spirit. He will not be as easily turned as you think.
{Another loud crash of thunder begins to echo through the swamp. Maniac starts to stir once again. Viper goes to backhand him across the face, but Thunder cuts him off.}
Thunder: Hold it there Viper. It’s my turn…
{Viper grins wickedly at Thunder then turns to Scorpion. Scorpion places the gem on a stump in front of Maniac, and both he an Viper walk away. Thunder stands looking at the barely conscious Maniac.}
Thunder: wakey wakey Maniac.
{Thunder lightly slaps Maniac in the face.}
Thunder: Earth to Maniac… Hello? Anyone home up there?
{an angry look comes across Thunder’s face, and he backhands Maniac across the face with a very loud thud.}
Thunder: I said wake up!
{Maniac finally stirs and looks up at Thunder. Fire begins to fill his eyes. And he tries to lash out but he finds himself tightly restrained and unable to move.}
Maniac: What the Fuck are you guys doing. I joined forces with you to rule this fed, not get the shit beat out of me by my own comrades!
{Thunder looks into Maniacs eyes and then lets out a low chuckle.}
Thunder: Don’t worry man this is all part of the process.. I had to go through the same thing you are going through now..
Maniac: Oh so they beat the shit out of you too..
{Thunder just laughs}
Thunder: Actually my initiation into the world of darkness was much worse than this. But like I said it’s all part of the initiation.
Maniac: I’ll show you part of the fucking initiation. When I get off of the fucking tree, I’m going to tear your heart out and eat it raw!
{Thunder chuckles again, then delivers a solid back hand across Maniac’s face, then a hard shot to his ribs. Maniac lets out a groan of pain and nearly slips into unconsciousness again}
Thunder: Maniac you aren’t in any position right now to be making idle threats that you know you can’t back. There is a lot of untapped power within you. I can sense it. Venom can sense it. This power however lies dormant. Locked away and hidden by the light and the powers of good inside you. However, when you choose your path, and begin harnessing the power of darkness, that dormant power within you will awaken. But you must first choose which road you wish to take.
{Maniac tries to say something but is met with another swift backhand. This time Maniac does fall unconscious. Thunder backs off a few steps, and Venom walk up and stand next to Thunder, and all three stand watching him, as the gem continues to glow.}
