My jaw dropped when Eminem got an Oscar. Hell hasn't iced over yet. Not saying anything for or against him, I just never thought it'd happen. And the party was FABULOUS!!!! Though I am soooo exhausted. Details... uhhh. There's an awful lot! Well, since it was a Two Towers party some of the cast members showed up. My sis and I got our pics with John Rhys-Davies (hope I spelled that right.) He tickled us to make us smile (like we needed encouragement!) We thought it was something he just did to girls, until this guy told us later that he got tickled too. Ehhem. LOL Sean Astin was there, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Andy Serkis, (my sis says she got a good pic of Andy holding someone's oscar. Oh and he did his gollum/smeagol voice for everyone. That was cool.) Craig Parker, and Bruce Hopkins were there. Alan Lee was there, along with Barrie Osborne (producer) and the crew who won oscars all came. That was pretty cool. Peter Jackson couldn't make it because he was still in NZ but he did call us on Sean Astin's cell phone. No one could really hear what he was saying, but it was still fun. LOTS of people there, great atmosphere. We watched the oscars, but I thought the party was actually kind of boring until the awards were over, because the band didn't come out out until the ceremony had finished. It was a Celtic rock band. I had a fun time pretending like I knew how to dance. LOL Buffet and drinks were free, beer and wine included, which probably explains why a few people got REALLY drunk and that was pretty funny to watch. The low point of the evening was when I slipped and fell in front of tons of people. *Blushes* But later on four people fell right in front of me on the dance floor, so I didn't feel as bad. LMAO Oh, and in the beginning, while we were waiting to enter the club, these anti-war protestors kept coming by and shouting at us. They probably thought, Oh hey look! A large crowd of people. Let's go annoy them. That will make Bush stop. LOL This one protestor, he was hysterical to watch. *Puts on best tripped-on-acid-surfer-like-dude-you're-gettin-a-dell voice* "You all may think you know the truth in your conscious minds, but duuuude. Like, your subconscious mind, dude, deep down, you know the truth and it'll corrupt your souls" Then he started quoting Dueteronomy. LMAO I think that's all for now. If I think of anything else I'll let ya'll know. :-)
