My finance and I went on a double date with two friends from school to go see it and the 4 of us loved it. Adam (my friend's boyfriend) is a big comic book junkie so he's seen every superhero/comic based movie put out so far, even the bad ones. (Useless comic trivia: The first Ninja Turtles movie was based more on the original comic idea than the show).
But while I'm not big on comic book heroes, there are some movies I can get behind. I liked Spiderman and the first X-men so I was interested in seeing X2. It's one of the rare occasions of a sequel better than the first.
I loved that they found such clever things to do with their powers.
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD
Like Iceman cooling off Wolverine's bottle of pop. Also I was so curious to find out how Magnito was going to escape his plastic prison cell. The whole thing with the iron supplement in the guard was just frickin brilliant.
Mystic who barely spoke a word in the previous movie got a few more lines and one of the forms she took was herself (Rebecca Romain Stamos as the hooker).
I looooved Nightcrawler. He was always a favorite X-man of mine and in the movie, I just wanted to hug him. And another one I liked, Colossus, appeared briefly (for those who don't know he turned to metal while helping Wolverine save the kids). I wished he had done more but he'll have more in X3 I'm sure.
And I loved the battle between Wolverine and his female counterpart as well. You also gotta love after being shot in the head, Wolverine gets up and walks away freaking out the cop who shot him.
I hate that they killed Jean then Adam told me the story about her and that she comes back as a character called Phoenix.
Ok I've said enough.

I'm looking forward to Matrix Reloaded and the new Pixar feature: Finding Nemo. I mean Pixar is 4 for 4 and I think this will be another good movie.
