In reply to: fu 's message, "Re: DO NOT SEE MATRIX RELOADED!!!" on 18:16:27 05/16/03 Fri

Up front, I'll be the first to admit that the beginning fifteen minutes or so were kind of a wash! I thought the five minute orgy scene was a huge waste of time, but I thought once Neo went to see the oracle then things picked up. Not that I completely understand all of what was said throughout the film. That whole thing about the element of choice being the only mathematical equation that couldn't be completely solved, hence the possibility of an anomaly like Neo appearing in the Matrix made my head spin a bit. The whole fate/freewill thing is a bit hard. I need to see it a few more times so I can catch all of what was said, but I thought it explained a few things about the first one that I didn't get - like who the heck or what the heck the oracle was. LOL In regards to the fight scenes, I thought a couple of them slowed down the movie a bit, BUT overall I thought they were well done and exciting. I LOVED the whole freeway chase scene. And as for the ending, lot's of sequels leave you hanging like that. The last two Lord of the Rings movies ended that way, with 'to be continued'. I know the first Matrix can stand on it's own, but does that mean that this one has to as well, especially when the third and final film is just a few months away? I'm really looking forward to the last one. I have a few theories/guesses about Zion and the last five minutes of Reloaded and I want to see if I'm right. Remember, there is no spoon. LMAO As it stands, I liked the first Matrix better, but I still give Reloaded a thumbs up. And I'm with you Fu, I don't know what it is that drives me, but I really want to see X2 AGAIN!!! Geez, what is it with me? My roomate has been hinting that she wants to see it, but she says she wants to see the first film before she sees the sequel. I'm getting impatient. I'm about to go see it again without her. LOL
