People often ask my friend Al if he killed anybody in Vietnam. It makes him uncomfortable. He really doesn't like to talk about it. Most of the time he just shrugs and says nothing, but sometimes you get someone who is really pushy, at which point the only thing left to say is "It was a fucking war. What do think, asshole?"

Every once in a while someone keeps going after that. At which point... Ah, I'll let you fill in the blanks there. I'm sure you can do it better than me.
