Getting ready to head home early. We are expected to have some weather today.

I'm making my list right now of every place I plan to go on the way home, so that my sister will know which ditch to send the cops to. My mother has already called several times to ask if I know there is impending weather. I'm betting she tops twenty calls before I actually get in my car.

My sister's computer was being scrooooiiiieeeee when I first logged on. She said she had called Gateway and was told she needed a new computer. The she called a local PC repair place and was told she needed to let them rebuild her hard drive.

I downloaded a free upgrade to her McAfee and cleaned out about thirty infected files. Whatdayaknow? It works now.

How much should I charge for this service? And where do I sign up for the tech support job that just tells people to buy more computers?

Rollierollierollie eyes.

Gotta run now. I'm in a race to get home ahead of my mother's calls.

same uncles as the dig camera lessons.

One introduced one to himself via some questionable surfing on some russian web pages. Unfortunately the system was spaghetti when I got to it so I never got the pleasure of seeing exactly what site did the job and the uncle wasnt fessing up. every JPG and VBS was corrupted and non repairable. I Forget the virii name.

other uncle managed to reinfect himself twice from the same photo. backed it up at some point before infection was obvious. I cleaned the virus off. Then he reloaded the backups and I had to start all over again. I discovered the problem when he sent me the 'photo' asking why it wouldnt open. *HEADSLAP*

both uncles now have norton av with weekly auto scan and auto data file updates.
