True story. If it ain't gospel accurate, you can butter my butt and call it a bisquit.

My Grandpa had been dead about a year when my Granny got pissed at another old bitty at the church. They were in a dispute over the handlin' of the cemetery. Never did catch all the details.

End result: Granny decided to turn her cow pasture across the road from the church into a family cemetery. We dug up Grandpa, an uncle, a couple of great aunts, and a few cousins who'd died in childhood. Toted 'em all across the cattle guard & plopped 'em back in the ground. Sang "Sweet By and By" one more time just for good measure.

I'm not sure why we didn't bushhog first.

About that same time, my brother and I were occupied with the question of what to do with an abandoned super collider project in Texas. So these holes in the ground left behind by cancelling the group rate at the church yard were nothin'.

I liked the idea of making a skate board pit best. Granny didn't have a skate board, though. Never could talk her into it. God rest her soul, and the cow pie sittin' atop her sweet self too.
