Supposedly, this should be a very busy day for me. It is the first day of class. I've promised to have like a gazillion web page revisions posted by this afternoon, all of which are floating around my office on cute, little multi-colored zip disks--somewhere.

This then is the day that I broke my glasses. I'm blind as a bat. I have my face practically touching the computer screen just to see to do this. I've said often I should keep a spare pair of disposable contacts in the office for just such and occasion--but are they here today? Of course not.

So I think the general game plan now is to sit around letting my new students look at me long enough to determine they've come to the right building then get somebody to drop me at the mall to get a quickie on a new pair of contacts.

As for those web pages? You think I'd trust myself to do something that mattered right now? Much better to just screw around with you guys, I think. :)
