You wouldn't scare me for sure, unless you bite. Now nibbling is okay. Do you play billiards too?

Education doesn't necessarily come from a university. I've seen people with Ph.D.s who had no education.

I'm not talking about "school of hard knocks" or "common sense" either. I'm talking about working brain cells.

I have one brother who has two Ph.D.s. One in electrical engineering from Syracuse. One in physics from Johns Hopkins. I have another brother who dropped out of community college. In my mind, they are equally educated and equally successful. Education is something you give yourself by feeding information and ideas into your head. A university can provide a place do that, but it is really only for the lameasses who can't figure out how to do it themselves.

If you engage in a lifelong process of learning, you are educated, no matter what the papers say. If you don't, you are ignorant, no matter what the papers say.

I've learned a lot more on my own than I ever learned in school. And I spent a lot of time in school.

Degrees are convenient for getting jobs in places that put value on those things. But they don't actually get the job done.

Maybe on my way through Mississippi I'll stop in for a quick game and lunch. And who knows, you might get lucky. :o)

Saying you play billiards is a good way to get your ass kicked where I come from. I have defeated many a man at the pool table, though, by smiling and saying innocently, "Oh, how do you play this? Show me how to hold the stick."
