A scent comes on the breeze, circulating the stallions satin nostrils. His head is thrown up as he gazes intensely at the pearly mirage below him. His dark purple, almost black eyes light a fire in their cores.

The Midnight stallion's nostrils flutter, drinking in the mare's scent. He whuffs quietly. A silent wish. Sunrays filter through the leaves above him. Dancing sunbeams creating Indigo shadows on his ebony coat.

The mare's coat gleams like an opal as she is cloaked in sunlight.

He tosses his head. Strands of silver moonshine swirl on his sleek neck. The splashes of silver on his rump twinkle like moonbeams. A dark hoof paws the ground.

A shrill whinney pierces through the silence. He is calling her. Will she respond...
