Pearl's muzzle tingles at the touch of the stallion. A faint wind shrouds the colt, sending shivers up his spine. Charcoal eyes gaze at the darkening sky, brow is furrowed. Again, sunrays briefly dance upon his coat. Golden rays of hope.

Spots of rain land on his coat, entwine in his mane and tail, dampen his burning body. He holds his ground, almost defiantly. A high soprano call escapes his ashen lips. Spiralling up in the grey clouds. Fusing with the sigh of the wind. A call so weak, yet bursting with life and a burning desire.

The Dawn filly whickers quietly, urging her son to take shelter in the cave. She stands beside him, her eyes raised to the heavens. Ready for flight. Filled with an unknown yearning. Her silvery mane dances in the wind, her mind roaming the skies.

The call of an angry stallion echoes the Ramsheads. The two horses disappear inside the cave without a trace. Disappear inside their haven.
