At the entrance of the other stallion, Torrent shivers. Her coat tingles and she shudders. Her ears twitch and she watches the two stallions, ears darting.

The filly of the morning sun shys skittishly, skipping onto a rocky crag. There she stands, tensed, ready for flight. Then, excitement takes over her and she dances. Sun rays glimmer on her sleek coat, dust particles twinkle around her like a cloak. She is totally absorbed in her twisting and spiraling. Nothing else matters. She forgets the stallion's presence.
