Well, since I'm going to buy the game anyhow I managed to get my hands on a *cough* not so legal version of NWN which gives me the chance to start testing stuff as well.
So far I love the game as well. There's a pretty fun story and I like how they allow you to choose different things to say. I even threatened to kill a guy so he gave me his gold :)

Right now I've got a character that is a level 2 Rogue, level 2 Ranger, level 2 Fighter. What can I say? I wanted to try everything at once and didn't feel like creating new characters all of the time. I'll be trying out Wizards, Bards and pure Rogues sometime tomorrow.

One thing I did notice, though, is that the game is pretty hard! Against normal foes I had no trouble at all, but some of the tougher ones (especially those spider-things. I hate those) my character sometimes died as much as 5 times before the monster died. As did my henchman, ofcourse. I got myself a sucky cleric henchman that dies in two hits :-/

Fortunately I've been able to get my hands on some ironwood and a light flail +1, which I let a smith combine into one weapon that does extra ice damage as well as Knock people over once I hit them.

As you can tell, I'm enjoying myself so far! Much better than Dungeon Siege/Diablo 2, though I've noticed some flaws in the game. For one, the pathfinding AI isn't too bright. My character ends up getting stuck behind stuff. Secondly, I wish I could rotate the camera a little higher for a more top-down view so I can grab the gold lying around instead of accidentally click my character(s). I'm also getting *nuts* hearing the same damn battlecries of my henchwoman over and over. I'm gonna try and dump her and go on alone sometime soon. Maybe that'll work.

I read somewhere that my henchman levels along with me. What happens if I hire a new henchman. Is het still low-level, or does he start out at a higher level as well?
