I think you have no clue yet how much work it is to actually create a "good chunk" that works. You DM guys will be terribly busy scripting the main plot (encounters, NPCs, conversations, triggers) alone, I can guarantee you that ;))
it is a LOT of work to create a convincing and living world. It really is. I seriously think it would be a waste of work and time to re-create areas that are done.
What you should do is assing a few people as "builders" and scripters who create a world according to your specifications. The world those people create should be a bare bone world, that has the basic structures, non-plot NPCs, such as generic merchants, citizens, guards.
Your job (the DMs') would be to:
-Set traps and locks at doors and containers
-Add containers and their inventory
-Create Quest items
-Add quest merchants
-Add quest NPCs
-Equip NPCs with weapons and inventory
-Create Quest conversations
-Create triggers and special transitions
-Create encounters
-Script NPC and monster schedules
-Assign XP points to quests and monster encounters
-Create sub quests by scripting NPCs
You guys face a LOT of work alone from that. I would say quit your jobs and work on NWN full time ;). seriously try to delegate some work. Even if 2 or 3 people know the full map, they barely have an advantage since you set the traps, monsters, plot, etc. But it would save you a lot of work.
If you don't believe me, I can send you the maps I have done, it is TERRIBLY complex. Bioware is partially to blame because some management features like virtual folders would make it a lot easier for us builders.
rant off...well, I meant it as friendly advice :)
