This nifty little program I found off NWVault is extremely handy. It's called Leto, and it allows you to edit your BIC(saved character) file and change certain details. For starters, and in my opinion, this makes the program a virtual godsend, is the ability to edit your background/description. So, you can keep your character's "examine" description up to date with the events that have taken place in his "life". Also, you can alter the characters sub-race, and Deity, in case more drastic changes occur in the course of gameplay. ;P
Even more over the top, you can change the actual textures of the character. IE, you can change the appearance of your elven paladin to Aribeth's, or even more extreme, to a balor. :P This is really only handy if for some odd reason you want to play a non-human character. For example, I wound up making a playable goblin by using the halfling race as a base, making changes to starting attributes, naming his sub race Goblin, and then saving the character. Opened up Leto, reset his appearance to that of a goblin, and voila, playable goblin character. Also of note, even with the "skin" changes, the character is still "legal", due to it being created through the normal PC creation process.
One last option available with Leto is access to the NPC voice sets for PCs. Basically, you open the save with Leto, and you can change your character's soundset to a different one. Very nice if you're tired of the generic PC voices, but unfortunately, there isn't voice tracks for all the voice commands. But there's enough for some interest. This of course includes the monster voices if you're attempting to make a PC critter. I know that I set "Muck"'s voice to a regular goblin, with humorous results.
All in All, this a great supplemental program for NWN character creation, with some very important options that NWN itself should have came packaged with, such as description altering.
I highly reccomend it to anyone that wants to add a further "custom" touch to their character besides what is possible with the base character creation.
