Yeah, after you get done with the set-up NPC, you'll have a chance to buy goods at a reduced rate (which will exagerate the exp vs gp decisions you made eariler). I have it set up at this point to give a 60% discount, but items will be limited to basic equipment, scrolls from magic-users, some potions, lower-end armor and weapons. This also means it wouldn't be a bad idea to spend the majority of your gold here, even if it's on non-usable items as most people on Faalor have little gold and more "stuff"; you could also resell stuff in game at a very good rate. This will represent what you've gotten in life thus far. I don't really want folks to get too much even before the campaign starts.
