What follows is a brief outline of the history of Shadow Horse

PROLOGUE (one day this will be made into a prequel in it's own right):
The tale of Shadow Horse begun many moons ago. Legend has it that Dansania (the earth upon which all of the tribes of Emerson inhabit) was under threat from a force of evil, the likes of which had never been seen before, or has ever been seen since. The Great Evil was one of the most powerful wizards ever known, and used his magick to corrupt the Emerson An elite armsmanship had to be assembled to wage war upon this force, and only the bravest of the Emerson tribe would dare to oppose the Great Evil.
Among their ranks was the leader of the tribe, Malakin, and his brother Garwin. Both were called out to the higher mountains of Draikona where the fiend had inhabitated itself. Upon arrival a battle had ensued between the two forces of good and evil, in which Malakin was slain. The Great Evil was weakened significantly despite his victory, and upon sensing this Garwin's steed leapt toward the Great Evil. The Great Evil used his last ounce of energy to condemn Garwin's steed to forever occupy the physicality of it's own shadow. Garwin was unable to reverse the spell, and so the steed would have to live without a body of it's own, condemned to only roam the world during the day, and peter out to non-existence as the night rolls in. Garwin left Draikona, taking with him both the body of his mortally wounded brethren, and the body of the Great Evil.
Upon returning to the Emerson Tribe's camp Garwin was pronounced a hero, and was asked to be the new leader of the tribe, which he accepted as his fate. From Malakin's body, Garwin took his ribs, to create a heir to his leadership, and from thus Morten was begotten. Garwin asked every single practitioner of magick to join him as he did not have enough magick of his own to acheive his next aim. Garwin believed that by removing the soul of The Great Evil, the evil spells cast would be reversed.
And so all the great practioners gathered and removed The Great Evil's soul, yet nothing immediately happened; Garwins steed was still only a shadow, and all of the other spells the great Evil had cast were still not yet reversed. Within days however all of the great practitioners had become ill, and Garwin realised what had happened. The Great Evil's soul had control over them. Garwin gathered all of the practitioners together again, and decided that the only course of action that they could take would be to bannish The Great Evil's soul into a physical object, and then dispose of it. A wooden mask was chosen, and then dispended at the top of the Draikona mountains along with the soul contained within it, a place it would lay for years, and years untouched, and forgotten about by most of the Emerson.
Shadow Horse was angry that he was the one who had finally laid to rest the great evil, yet Garwin was the one who had taken all of the rewards; he was now the people's leader. On the other hand, Shadow Horse was condemned to not existing whenever the sun went down, and nobody cared. Upon disposing of the mask, nobody had once tried to reverse the spell.
So years went by. Shadow Horse fluctuated from concious existense to nothingness day after day for year, until enough was enough. Shadow Horse decided that he wanted the mask for himself. If the mask contains the power of The Great Evil, then it will have the power to reverse the spell Shadow Horse decided, and set off upon his journey to retrive the mask.
