MR Discourage:
Fair enough, McDonalds has a fantastic advertising campaign, that has really worked, but surely you cannot justify the evil, inhumain way that they run the business? The points posted were not not made by me, they were sent to me, and by he way, I never said that business is a bad thing, its is the principles of certain businesses that are a bad thing. Surely its possible to make an advertisng campaign that is succesful and not SICK? Or maybe it isn't. The way that big companies (McDonalds) exploit humans and animals for their own personal gain, you cannot justify this being OK. Having shitloads of playgrounds, playing a soundtrack of children playing etc may initially seem harmless, but quite frankly I think its a SICK but an annoyingly effective advertising campaign that we should all learn to ignore. Far too many people lap this shit up. You may say that most businesses (including small ones) will have their own faults, but none will have the financial or moral capabilities to go about business in the way that McDonalds does, due to extortionate financial gain of the company.MONEY changes people.
I know those points were made from a anti-capitalist viewpoint but so what? They are there to show the other side of the coin, I mean, would you ever hear McDonalds talk about ANY of the issues in the way they were put. Its interesting to note that the points were made for NO finantial gain, EVERYTHING McDonalds does, is aimed at making MONEY for the people at the top, nothing else. My personal view point is that The world would work much better if comunities relied on smaller businesses/restaurants/shops etc for their needs, however, today its not always possible because people give in too easily to huge wealthy companies and are TAKEN IN by their advertising campaigns. I do think that big companies have the ability to run in a much more positive and responsible way as they have the financial capabilites to operate not only for their own persoanl gain but their own workers and the communites where they are situated.
Put simply, those points aren't going to make a single difference to the world, it just might change few people's minds when they pass McDonalds and are hungry. Perhaps I wouldn't feel so strongly about the whole thing if it wasn't run in the way it is.I dont eat at McDonalds and I never will.

peace.
