...after last night, Jim is thinking of quitting everything, in particular, putting on gigs. His promotional skills (this is questionable) came to no avail last night as only 3 PEOPLE turned up. The Inspectors and MFR are now 2 of the most unpopular bands on the planet. Many people blamed the timing of the gig (exams, Rio's, thursday night not a good night, the people of bradford etc), but jim blames himself and the unavoidable probability that nobody likes us any more.

But nevermind, it was still a great night, in fact there was a damn good atmosphere, lots of crowd interaction, heckling, manequins used to bulk up the crowd etc etc. Jim has to say a big thankyou to The Tabloids who came from Nottingham to play. Jim has never met a more enthusiastic band, they came up without a lead singer and played a goddamned tight set, never complained, only got £10 for playing and offered to return the favour with a gig and some possible recording time down in Nottingham, all in all it was a good night, but a disheartening turn out after plenty of flyering around bradford. A big thanks goes out to Sally, My dad Chaz, Chob, and Dave from Beerbeast for coming down from the upstairs bar and watching some of the bands.

It does seem like Rio's determines whether a band gets a good turn out or not(if we had played on a wednesday would more kids have come down?) From now on Jim says we'll just have to comply to the wednesday friday ruling due to Rio's being the cool place to 'hang' with the alternative kids. If Jim books gigs (this is questionable) on these days maybe more will come down before they go and listen to chart hits with that muscle head Ziggy and all his muscle head buddies. The irony is, i go to fucking rio's occasionally and i used to go all the time. aaarrrggghhh!!!

I'm a bitter man......
