Subject: What's a Street Stock ??

I really don't intend to offend anyone but..............I bet there are as many definitions as there are tracks !
What's my idea of a street stock ?? A car that I see driven on the street. One that has been converted to an oval track racer.Not a "Junker",Not an "entry level stricktly stock", Not a "Bomber" ,or a "fabricated" race car for that matter.To me a street stock should look like a street car with big tires,load exhaust,roll cage and a sharp paint job.Goes like hell,fun to drive, has some adjustability and doesn't cost the family jewels to build or race.(Uses lots of stock or salvage yard parts)I don't recall ever seeing a Camaro with a fiberglass body at a traffic light. At some point cars are no longer Street Stock and are only based on a chassis or sub-frame. But that's just one opinion.. what's yer's ??
