Desoto Driver.

Thanks for the input.. It all boils down to "who's" definition do you use. Iagree, what i am used to and what is the "norm' are different. I personnaly loved running on D.O.T.bias tires. The overwelming body of race tracks are using slicks in all but the entry level race classes. The same thing applies to locked rear ends. The Street stock as we are defineing is an adjustible stock bodied race car.Having an open rear end and non slick tires just doesn't fit the normally accepted perameters of a Street stock. If you are running a Chevy or other GM product, a "c" clip rear and stock gear are really cheap. Even if you are running a Ford ,the center section doesn't cost very much. The guys that are running the "sportsman" like cars are going to have to spend some money too !! No one is going to be able to run what they have without some changes. That's what we mean by "compromise"..
By the way.. What's too old mean ? Don't worry, no ones gonna show up with a Hudson Hornet and clean house ! At least i hope not...

Have a great day, and keep the questions coming.
