Subject: Long Overdue !

I've been saying the same thing for years(a lot of years).AT LAST, An AFFORDABLE touring class !I tried to talk to Hooters and they said " street stock people can't afford to travel" BULL !Hell we traveled 75 miles to New Smyrna every Sat.and 45 miles to Orlando on Friday.Thats a total tow of 240 miles a week! There were lots more just like us too.We competed for several years in FASCAR Bombers and begged for a Name Change to Street Stock. We just wanted some respect for the effort that goes into these cars. They were not JUNK !(well... maybe some) They finally changed the name to "Super Stock". With a few changes those cars could compete. Your proposed rules are very close to the ones I have drafted over the years. The only exception is that I was a lot more liberal with the internal engine parts and modifications. My line of thinking is that It's hard to police the "inside" of an engine and usually requires a "tear down".Teardowns cost money ! We KNOW ! By limiting exhaust, carb and intake, and the valve lift, Not much can be gained by running expensive parts with the exception of increased reliability. With a P&G,cubic inches can be determined and the inspection plug in the oil pan to check rods and crank for stock parts.
You seem to have everything well thought out.
A couple things you might do is add the word "Maximum" after the left side weight spec.and use the words "front and REAR" coil springs must be same...
Let me know If I can be of any assistance.
Jeez I might come out of retirement for this one !! I wish you All the luck in the world !!I'm already looking for "loopholes" in the rules !!!!!
