As a hardcore Casey & AT40 fan, I see things the same way:
I would put everything AT40 or Casey related on air, either from what company it was produced.
But as somebody who tries for years to find out how radio works, I guess I have to see it different.
No one of us knows the exact details of contracts like Casey's WW1 contract or the one from Shadoe with ABC.
Maybe WW1 can not release a CT40 show without an agreement of Casey. I don't know ! You have to ask Mr. Pattiz if he can do.
The other thing is: Every product needs a customer. Whould there be enough stations buying a CT40 flashback from WW1 ??
I don't think so. How many chart shows current and flashing back can you count ? I guess there is no need for another old re-release, at least not as long as you can have the original on air.
As Scott pointed out above: Never say never, but we may can look out for something in 10 or 20 years.
And: I also believe there is no complete original archive of Casey's WW1 shows.
Last but not least: I have read the lines "when Casey retires....." here every now and then.
I don't believe he will retire soon. He's only 70. I guess AMFM/Premiere had not signed him, if there isn't a plan for several years to come.
And if he will ever stop doing AT40, forget about "a new guy" for the show. AT40 is Casey Kasem; Without him the show will no longer exist. We all know what happens in the past. I don't beleive there will be a second time replacement for Casey.
I read someone thinking about Ed McMann .... Not really !
Who can think of a regular worldwide show with Ed McMann ?
Others he is not located in Hollywood.

I'd like to point on what Scott said: We can have our own private Network for whatever show somebody's looking for !
That's the best way to hear the programme you want to hear.
Always watch out on the trading board .....
